As a solar electrician, Matt designs solar arrays and lead teams in their installation. Before he entered the solar industry 6 years ago, he was an underground coal miner.

“It has meant so much to me to not have to work underground in a coal mine in less safe conditions and to be able to have a great job that I can count on. It has meant a lot to me and my family and our quality of life,” said Matt.

Matt has seen first hand that solar is not just sustainable, it’s good for their customers’ bottom line. Many systems pay for themselves well within their lifetime. And as energy prices continue to rise, the return on investment will improve.

“There are great jobs in the renewable industry. I’m just one example of that.”
