The solar industry relies on thousands of people throughout the country to manufacture the various parts necessary to capture solar energy.
One of those people is Paul Golphin. Paul is a press operator for Cleveland-based Talan Products. His job consists of loading steel into Talan’s massive presses and stamping it into essential components for solar panel systems.
Paul joined Talan seven years ago after reading about the company on a local list of the best companies to work for. Paul doesn’t think of his work as a clean job, and says most people he encounters aren’t sure what the clean energy industry even is.
“Talan is providing jobs for people in the community,” said Paul. “That’s an impact that people can really feel.”
